We help children to get their education, now we need your help.

Investing in education.

We believe in the right to education as a weapon against injustice and inequality. Access to quality education is not only a basic human right, it is a critical component of a foundation for a more productive and happier life.

Sponsor a Child

There are many children in need of sponsorship at our projects, Please email us or get in touch with us  if you are interested in sponsoring one of these children.

Give a gift!

We focus on “one to one” or “one to few” type interactions. We do not address societal problems. We don’t tackle projects requiring engineers and scientists. We’ll leave that.

Our Kids Thrive Because of Your Help

EDUCATION PROGRAM

VICDA is very active in building schools in various parts of the country, especially in the areas that were affected by post-election violence in late 2007.  Every child has the right to quality education. So far, VICDA has been able to  14 both public primary and High schools in Nakuru County which have been handed to the Kenya government. The average minimum number per school stands at 350 students in primary schools and  200 students in high schools. VICDA has another initiative of child sponsorship for kids from vulnerable families and children institutions.

WATER AND SANITATION

Through her donors,VICDA provides water to the communities and schools.
Most of the population in the rural part of Kenya has no access to clean water. During the dry season, women and children walk for kilometres looking for water for domestic use.

VICDA (Volunteer International Community Development Africa) is a Kenyan NGO (non-government organization) devoted to assisting needy Kenyans alongside global partners and selfless volunteers. Since its inception in 2004, VICDA has aided tens of thousands of Kenyans by implementing community development projects, constructing schools, sponsoring education, digging wells and setting up agricultural projects. Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about VICDA’s many programs and ways in which you can get involved.
