WHO IS VICDA KENYA

Volunteer International Community Development Africa(VICDA) is a non-profit organization established in 2005 in Kenya to improve the socio-economic situation of the country through community development activities and placing international volunteers for development work in the various projects we work with. VICDA was established in 2004 and is legally registered under the NGO Bureau Reg. No. OP. 218/051/2006/0460/4510 Kenya.
VICDA focuses on community work; the areas include supporting orphans in children’s homes, venerable children living with their guardians, Street children rehabilitation, provision of water and sanitation, empowering women groups, supporting people living with HIV/AIDS, supporting internally displaced people, supporting child education programs, infrastructure such as building of schools both primary/high schools and orphanages, peace building and feeding/nutrition program in schools.
VICDA networks with local community projects to implement its activities. In order to be effective in its activities VICDA empowers its local partners through training workshops, one on one meetings, project visits, and evaluations.
