VICDA is very active in building schools in various parts of the country, especially in the areas that were affected by post election violence in late 2007. The IDP children who live in such areas have a right to an education, just like any other child in Kenya. So far, VICDA has been able to build early childhood development education schools and complete a large primary school for 700 students.
Education program volunteers who volunteer with VICDA through GVN are placed at one of the many schools that VICDA supports. School types range from pre-school all the way to high school and are found in both rural areas as well as highly populated urban areas, like the Kibera, Lenana and Dagoretti slums of Nairobi.CREATE A FREE WEBSITE OR BLOG AT WORDPRESS.COM.DO
